Inspired by January hunts in Core Sound North Carolina, one of the harshest waterfowl environments on the East Coast; Down East Gear’s Inertia™ Shotgun Case is one of the most advanced and feature rich shotgun cases on the market.  In 2019, we launched the design process and painstakingly analyzed every component, fabric and functional feature of our case.  Compromise was not an option.  After two (2) years of prototyping and testing, we finally brought to market a shotgun case that blends extreme durability and professional grade features with a highly water-resistant main compartment and dual side pockets.  DEG’s Inertia shotgun case is the answer for all hunters desiring to provide their shotguns with the ultimate protection to and from the hunt.

After use in saltwater environments, we recommend rinsing your DEG Inertia™ Case with fresh water and hang dry.  In muddy timber and swamp environments, we recommend rinsing your case as well as brushing away mud and dirt with a soft brush.   The 1000d Cordura® and 3350d ballistic nylon exterior is extremely durable; however, proper care will significantly reduce wear.

Do not purchase anything from this company.

Never got my order. Tried to call and email with no response. Finally filed a claim with American Express. No customer service! Never again!!!

We communicated to you via email on March 7th that your case was delivered via UPS on March 6th. We also provided you with your tracking number on March 5th (1Z50W1Y40315490604). UPS informed us that they did in fact deliver your case after speaking with the driver. We will dispute your claim with American Express. Your comments regarding our customer service are inaccurate. Well Built

First off, I am a gear snob, I do hours of research on any significant purchase and have been looking to upgrade my gun case to as close to bullet proof as possible for a couple years now before pulling the trigger. We duck hunt in swamps, back waters, lots of boats, side by sides etc. I have hunted with the Inertia Case for a year now and this thing is rugged! I love the buttstock pull tab, find that a convenient way to offload from truck, boat or atv. The material is much thicker than any cases i have look at and should be for the price. If you can come off the cash, I give this my full recommendation. Two items I would add; full zipper for when everything is soaked, rubberized muzzle protection for pitching the case in the boats and such. But this case is for sure the most durable on the market.

Great case! Sturdy!

I think I will be passing this thing down to my grand kids. You can tell they did not cut any corners. I really like the zipper pulls! I also am a fan of the outer pockets for holding extra shells and gear. The case is so thick we used it as a seat cushion in the blind. High quality product that is built to last.

Inertia shotgun case

Great piece of gear. Used for a 28” Benelli SBE3. Fits perfect! Zipper appears to be waterproof and material is solid. This case should last longer than the shotgun from my first impression.
